Everyone knows Palma, but only few people know that Mallorca has much more to offer! Are you ready to be one of them?
In this amazing tour, you’ll visit Valldemossa, a beautiful town only 40minutes from the capital Palma, declared world heritage by UNESCO! Surrounded by the Tramuntana mountains, this old, charming city is mostly know for having been the home to Fryderyk Chopin and his French writing partner George Sand between 1838 and 1839. Get ready to be amazed by the scenic drive along the sea side Paseo Maritimo and then you’ll have the chance to visit the Real Cartuja Monastery, where the composer and his partner lived. There you’ll visit the gardens, the ancient city’s pharmacy (the oldest on the whole island!), the Prior room and the very room where Chopin lived! After that, a visit to King Sancho’s Palace is going to be your next stop. This, enriched by a very suggestive live piano concert with music composed by ( guess who!?) Chopin.
After that, take a stroll around the city and its pedestrian alleys, decorated with flowers and characteristic stone facades. Stop in a coffee shop, where beautiful terraces will allow you enjoy a hot chocolate or frozen salmon milk ( depending on the season, of course!), garnished with a slice of Coca de Patata ( traditional, local cake).
