The meeting point of the tour will be at your hotel or apartment. There you will meet with your driver and get to know the family-friendly guide that will accompany you on this very special day. Your guide will be there to provide maximum assistance throughout the tour and will hand out activity booklets for the Amazing scavenger hunt your children will take part in, inside the Colosseum – the first stop of the tour.
The Flavian Amphitheater, famously known as the Colosseum, is the biggest amphitheater ever built and, therefore, a MUST when in Rome. Get inside it and walk around the arena where the most powerful gladiators once used to battle upon! On top of that, our amazing scavenger hunt inside it is guaranteed to keep this experience interactive and educational for your children.
Come and watch the eyes of your children sparkle at the amazing stories your guide will share with you and your family! Around the area of the Colosseum, there is so much going on! During your tour, you will have the chance to walk around the ruins of Ancient Rome as you make your way across the Roman Forums and Circus Maximus – an area surrounded by the remains of several important ancient governmental buildings, like the Curia. You will do this by walking along the famous Appian way – once coined “the queen on the long roads”. This is because it used to be the only road that connected Rome with the southeast city of Brindisi. After a short car ride, you will l be guided through some of Rome’s narrowest pathways. There you will encounter the striking Pantheon. This building, which nowadays stands as a church, used to be a temple of Roman gods. Apart from being jam-packed with history and culture, this place has an astonishing architecture. Follow your guide as he takes you though the place top characteristics; including a hole in the center of its roof, from which water passes through on rainy days. A truly mystic place!
You will then visit the Thermals, also knows as Roman baths. Live the true Roman experience by admiring the once large imperial bath complexes, where the Romans used to bath in! Possibly you could also have the chance of visiting the Catacombs; the underground burial places under Rome preserved till this day!
The following stop of your tour, will be a scenic one. Follow your guide through the Janiculum pathway, where you will be able to meet the faces of many politically, culturally and historically acclaimed Italian people. As you get to the top, you will even encounter a statue in honor of Giuseppe Garibaldi. Listen to your guide while he shares some of the most interesting stories of Italian culture and history. All of which you will be able to do as you admire an amazing panoramic view of the city.
The two last stops of the tour will be the Trevi Fountain and the Navona Square – both top landmarks of the gorgeous city of Rome. Get to enjoy all three of the beautiful fountains found in the Navona Square and the most famous baroque fountain in the world, the Trevi Fountain. Both sights are guaranteed to leave you filled with awe and wonder.
