Good morning!! Have you had your cappuccino yet?
Cappuccino is named after the Cappuccini order of monks who still wear a brown robe with a hood or cappuccio today! So how did we get from our most beloved world-famous coffee beverage to the order of Monks?
Well, if you are interested in learning more about the Cappucines, take your chances and go on our Underground Rome Tour. Visit the creepy and some say macabre funeral art of the Cappucine Crypt in Rome, that consists of five chapels and a corridor of 6m long and is decorated with bones ( yeah, real bones and skeletons! ) of thousands of deceased monks. And if by the end of the visit at the Crypt you haven’t have enough already….the Ancient Roman Catacombs may be next!
