During the tour we will walk through beautiful canals and medieval streets, and discover how a small fishermen’s village became one of the world’s most fascinating cities. We will ravel out a unique history made of epic canals, incredible artists, thousands of bikes and fabulous canal houses!
We also will visit the medieval area and learn about the foundation of the city canals and millions of underground wooden piles. Then we will visit the oldest dyke, including an original house from the early 1500’s. Passing by “Little Venice” we will learn about Dutch family traditions, secret churches and beer brewing.
We will walk through the former Jewish Quarter: the Golden Age, Tulip-mania and the typical merchant lifestyle of the 17th century. Afterwards, we will learn about World War II, the holocaust, and the impact of the war to the modern Amsterdam. Unveiling the history will make your family entertain and get engaged in the tour
